Before I start bitching, I guess I should explain who the hell I'm talking about: Mims is a rapper--more importantly the newest, hottest, club-bangin', hit sellin' dumbass on the top of the charts. And though I'm sure the rest of his album is equally unimaginative, the focus of my head shaking has been on his single, "This Is Why I'm Hot" (Listen here [link]).
I heard this song online and seriously thought it was a joke--you know, somebody just recorded it to make fun of horrible mainstream rappers. You can imagine, then, the tears I shed laughing at the fact that it's an actual song.
My merriment didn’t last long, though, for when (because I hate myself) I started sifting through some reviews on iTunes, I started to realize people actually take this shit seriously. I don't have a problem with people listening to this song (and actually understand that [without exposure to anything...well, I don't want to say better, but...] it's very easy to like), but please, please, know and admit that it's crap (Come on, even Mims acknowledges his own track's stupidity--"I dont gotta rap, i can sell a mill sayin nothin on a track"). That's all I ask.
